The Role:

A new, vibrant, and exciting web development agency (that's us!) are offering an awesome chance to work with the web, develop and hone your online marketing skills, and gain industry experience.

The Better Web Company is looking for an online marketing assistant to join the team in our Hertford office. We're looking for someone who's ambitious about building a future working with the web, and has a good understanding of the web, search engines and social media. The successful candidate will be required to research, manage, and implement online marketing campaigns. Enthusiasm, organisation, and a passion to learn are essential.

In return for your time, we'll give you a fun, energetic, and professional environment for you to grow within, as well as an Mac to work from and a budget for training, books, courses, and conferences you're interested in.

The skills we're looking for are:

• Basic knowledge of SEO
• Strong creative writing skills
• An understanding of how social media channels work
• Ability to hand-code semantic HTML and CSS
• Great communication skills
• A creative streak (we’ll ask you to fill in some blanks)
• The ability to multitask (We have many hats here, all in your size!)

You'll get bonus points for:

• Experience distributing press releases
• Knowledge of working with and interpreting Google site analytics
• Making a mean coffee... OK: an average tea will do!
